This morning after breakfast, we drive to the South arriving at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp in time for lunch and later on proceed on a game viewing drive in the park located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rises above a saucer of clouds and dominates every aspect of Amboseli. This park covers only 150 square miles. Despite its small size and its fragile ecosystem, it supports a wide range of mammals (over 50 of the larger species) and birds (over 400 species). Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp.
We head out early on for another game drive, travelling through the park in search of wildlife. Today, experience the sweeping open spaces of Amboseli through an early morning and late evening game drives. The Park’s main attraction is its herds of Elephants and the bulls here have largest tusks in all of Kenya. We return to the lodge in time for breakfast, followed by time at leisure and later a relaxing lunch. This afternoon brings with it another game drive, further increasing our chances of observing rare wildlife.
TThis morning, you will be awakened by the trumpeting of the Elephants as they came to quench around the pods at the Ark, after breakfast we drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Early morning breakfast, we set out for the Great Rift Valley, where our destination is the ilkeliani Camp in Maasai Mara. We will have a stopover at Narok where will have our hot lunch at supreme Lounge. Perhaps the jewel in the crown of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas, Maasai Mara is one of the most popular game reserves in Africa and is revered around the world for its exceptional wildlife, as well as its annual wildebeest migration. We get another chance to see the 'Big Five' as we head out on to the plains on safari. Animals here are free to roam beyond the unfenced confines of the reserve, resulting in a symbiotic relationship between the wildlife and local Maasai tribes, whose villages dot the grasslands. We may see lions striding proudly across the plains, herds of elephants bathing in the shallow waters and giraffes reaching out towards the lofty trees in search of foliage. Enjoy this evening’s game drive before retiring to the camp.
Enjoy the entire day exploring the splendor of an African sunrise for full days of game viewing, returning to the camp for lunch and dinner or opt for full days of game drives with picnic lunches in the bush. Negotiating the roads and tracks down from the camp, you are transported into a world of timeless natural wonder; one where the sights, sounds, and pageantry of life continue on just as they have for thousands of years. As the day progresses, your driver’s deep knowledge of the land becomes apparent as he leads you to one spot of outstanding beauty after the next, allowing you to observe the wildlife quietly and at your leisure. The evenings, sit on the balcony watching dawn break across the plains as you sip your coffee or your favourite drink, the raised on stilts, each offers sweeping views across the Talek River onto the golden plains of the Maasai Mara.
Optional activities can be arranged for you during these two nights stay, like a Balloon ride which we highly recommend. Where you
